Virtually exploring the beautiful North Macedonia!
Virtual mobility in Prilep, North Macedonia, 21/04/2021 - 23/04/2021!
The beginning of the COVID pandemic, with all its negative aspects including the
fear of the unknown, forced us to put the project on hold, pausing all project activities with
physical presence.
Due to the pandemic and to the major constraints each member country faced, from March 2020 until March 2022 the project has been developed in virtual mode between March 2020 and March 2022.
It took almost a whole year to meet again at the first online mobility organized on the ZOOM platform, which was hosted by primary school, "Kocho Racin" in Prilep!
This first online mobility was attended by more than 90 participants from all partner countries, who for three days actively created and implemented tasks in the field of multilingualism.
The final product of the first online mobility was a tourist guide for the city of Prilep intended for teenagers made by students in English and in the mother tongue of each partner country.
Within this first online mobility, students had the opportunity to work in digital
heterogeneous groups, to learn and experience from each other, to develop 21st century
competencies. 4-K skills, and also to expand their digital competencies using different digital
tools. This virtual mobility was of vital importance especially for the students. While they were facing the isolation caused by the pandemic, they combat fear with creativity, loneliness with online meetings and making new friends. While the rest of the world was becoming estranged, our students were becoming citizens of Europe, Europolitans!
