Let's meet the last divided capital of Europe, Nicosia

Updated: Jul 8

During the first mobility in Cyprus our students had the opportunity to learn about the last divided capital of Europe, Nicosia.

Ever since the Turkish occupation of the north part of the island the capital remains divided. Half of it resides in the Republic of Cyprus and the other half in the occupied part of the island. Not only have the buildings, the neighbourhoods have been separated, but also the people of the capital.

"a message of peace, unity and hope to the people of the divided capital"

The students worked together to bring a message of peace, unity and hope to the people of the divided capital and at the same time, try to raise awareness, by writing positive messages and wishful thoughts for the future.
