"Lefkaritika", Cyprus lace and heritage

As part of discovering Cyprus culture and heritage, the students were introduced to Cyprus lace called "Lefkaritika". After a short tour at Lefkara village they took embroidery lessons from local women and created their own "lefkaritika" lace!

"We went by bus to Lefkara, located in the district of Larnaka. We visited the museum and the surroundings, then we took part in embroidery classes. I pricked myself with the needle many times, but I still thought it was a pleasant job." Marta Pałyska VIII a
